In the series on pharmacists’ migration to Australia, after we learned how to apply to the states by making an EOI and ROI or EOI only according to the conditions of each state on their official websites, what now remains is to wait for an initial invitation from one of the states to which you applied. In this article, I will discuss what you need when you receive Initial invitation from a state. I will review the documents required to be submitted in the state application and the stages of preparing these documents, in preparation for receiving an invitation from the Immigration Department to submit a visa application.
The difference between the initial invitation from the state and the invitation from the Immigration Department?
The difference between the initial invitation from the state and the invitation from the Immigration Department is the different purposes and procedures that relate to them:
Pre-Invitation (initial invitation from the state):
- It depends on the EOI you filed with the state.
- It gives you additional points in the immigration system, such as 15 points for Visa 491 or 5 points for Visa 190.
- The initial invitation includes directions to submit documents proving the information mentioned in the EOI.
- Documentation requirements may vary between states, and can include residency, work experience, skills assessment, and language.
Nomination (invitation from the Immigration Department):
- It comes after the state approves your candidacy for immigration.
- It includes directions for uploading the necessary documents and paying visa costs.
- It is usually received after meeting the state's initial invitation requirements and submitting the required documentation.
- It involves submitting documents and paying fees, and we will talk about this step in detail in the next part of the series.
What comes after the initial invitation?
عندما تتلقى الدعوة الأولية من الولاية، فإن المطلوب عادة هو:
- Receive an email from the state notifying you that you have been selected for nomination.
- Fill out the form or application attached to the email, which may include links to filling out the form online.
- Submit required documentation in accordance with state guidelines, which may be stated in the email or available via the attached link.
- Applicants typically negotiate with a state regarding documents and deadlines, as there can be specific details regarding application deadlines and required documents.
It is also a good idea to cancel or suspend any EOIs for states other than the state from which you received the initial invitation, as this ethical act can be a reason to give a better chance to other applicants.
